In November 3rd, the National Excellence Pursuit Conference, organized by the China Quality Association, was held in Beijing. The theme of the conference is Scientific Development -- the Realization of Quality Improvement. Xingtai Steel’s board chairman, Mr. Yuan Shizhen, and general manager, Mr. Zhang Yongcang attended the meeting and received the China Quality Award, the highest honor of national quality management. Xingtai Steel has also became the only metallurgy enterprise within the 11 winners.
On the meeting, Mr. Yuan Shizhen, in conjunction with the other principals of the award-winning enterprises, had a discussion and shared the application process and the successful experience with the conference representatives. This will be a helpful reference for these enterprises in the implementation of performance excellence model.
Mr. Lu Zhongyuan, deputy director of the State Council Development Research Center attended and gave a thematic reports, interpretated the current economic situation at home and abroad and the development policy of China.
In November 4th, Mr. Jiang Yi, the director of Xingtai Steel’s QC department, attended the experience exchanging meeting of the award-winning enterprises, and had a deep discussion with the other representatives.
